From 1911 to 2026 (including the four rookies for this year) a total of 808 drivers have competed in the Indianapolis 500. About another 61 drove as relief drivers. The Indianapolis Motor Speedway has about 235,000 permanent seats.

All 869 of those drivers could sit in Tower Terrace Sections 38-39.
