I would like to extend my sincere gratitude for the warm messages of sympathy and solidarity we have received from people around the world, including the leaders of a number of countries, following the 2026 Kumamoto Earthquake.
The encouragement from all of you has been a tremendous source of courage for the people of Japan.
I would also like to express my heartfelt appreciation for the offers of support we have received from numerous countries and international organizations so far.
The Government of Japan is working in earnest to carry out rescue operations and provide assistance to the affected areas.
As we continue to assess the situation and needs on the ground, we will carefully consider how the generous offers of support can best be utilized.
Once again, I would like to express my deep gratitude for your kind messages of support and offers of assistance.
