‘It is not enough for the world to be beautiful — one must also deign to rejoice in it.’ Grothendieck
This artwork was created a few weeks before my son was born.
It bears witness to the world as it was and as it will be when he needs to contemplate it.
The Flow [wip]
The city is a reservoir of latent images.
It is on thresholds that these images reside. The flâneur is like a film editor. He sinks into the very matter of his medium, allowing himself to be carried by the fields of attraction that surround him.
His spectral gaze ruins, destroys, fragments.
Everything becomes allegory to him.
Here, beautiful images surface.
This is my working method: trusting the motif.
I do not search for images; I create the conditions for their appearance through the invisible montage of an errant drift.
The artwork is nothing more than the trace left by their emergence.
Every quest adds strength to the soil!
