@MrTimLane Lol good luck staffing those shifts @wesstreeting. If you want to clear the backlog you need to put your hand in your pocket! ...clueless is an understatement.
@Microbedoc2 You've missed the point here. It's not about the complexity of cases. It's about doing things you don't need to be a doctor at all to do! E.g. wasting time doing menial/admin tasks.
@DrRgoldi@uhbtrust@BMA_James_Steen So whoever is enforcing this is going to come and hold your bleep and do your job for your 1 hour rest period are they? Unpaid breaks for A4C staff works because they generally aren't the only person in the hospital over night that can do their job. Ridiculous.
The NHS is completely BROKEN😢
WASNT broken by COVID/Strikes/inflation (*delete excuse)
but by deliberate CHOICES to break it
RT if you want this/next government to make CHOICES to properly fund the NHS, #reward staff & provide better healthcare than 👇 for the UK population
🚨 EXCLUSIVE: NHS chiefs across England have been told to cut spending on nurses and doctors and find services they could close as NHS faces a £4.5bn funding blackhole: https://t.co/K7bxP0LfYV
Extremely disappointing that Peers have tonight waved through legislation that will blur the lines between PAs and doctors, with potentially dangerous consequences for patients.
We thank Peers who urged Government to heed the warnings of the medical profession.
@VictoriaAtkins@DHSCgovuk Where is this further offer then? That was December and there's been plenty of opportunity since. Saying this over and over is just embarrassing for you.
@VictoriaAtkins@DHSCgovuk If you "were prepared to go further" where is this increased offer since the last set of strikes!? If what we are asking for isn't fair and reasonable why has your own pay increased with inflation for the last decade but ours has decreased 30% in real terms?
A re-ballot of junior doctors in England will take place from 7 February to 20 March to extend our mandate for strike action, and provide us with a mandate for action short of strike (ASOS).
Vote
❌ YES for strikes
❌ YES for ASOS

Hi @BimAfolami
Happy to chat about how your government have shut us out of negotiations
And even now, with no strikes, they still won’t negotiate with us
And how previous to striking we were basically told we’d be ignored until we had a strike ballot

@docib I'm not sure that would help. A lot of the public still think that ALL doctors are called Mr/Miss when they become consultants. I've been a doctor for 10 years (Anaesthetics/ICM) and still have friends ask me if I'm Mr yet.
@howtofinance1 @BMA_JuniorDocs More like financial illiteracy. Why don't you stick to commenting on things you understand? Though I appreciate that may leave you with quite limited material.
