India says 288 Indian nationals out of contact after Nepal floods, which includes Indians working on hydropower project, tourist groups from Tamil Nadu, West Bengal
China has tended to see ties with India through a US prism & thinks - inaccurately - that India sees ties with China through a US prism too.
Underlying this & other recent rmrks seems to be a sense PRC has more leverage now thx to India-US strains & India less negotiating room

Loitering munition may have hit Kirana Hills during Operation Sindoor: former CDS Anil Chauhan contradicts what military said last year about explosions near nuclear facilities. @saurabh3vedi reports https://t.co/0iZlT7fRgI
Given the delicate deterrence between India and Pakistan, it is alarming that an Indian drone struck close to Pakistani nuclear facilities. Could be taken by some trigger happy Pakistani air defence unit as an incoming strike on the nuclear facilities.
And remember the BrahMos missile that accidentally got fired during maintenance in 2022 and flew deep into Pakistan!
The Himalayas are the world’s most seismically active major mountain range, with a record of triggering devastating earthquakes. How even a moderate seismic event can trigger massive cascading effects was illustrated today when a magnitude 4.4 quake along the Tibet-Nepal border unleashed a disaster, with flash floods washing away Nepali villages.
This will renew global attention on China's folly in persisting with the construction of the world's largest dam in the middle of the Himalayan seismic zone. The project, located next to the Indo-Tibetan border, is a water bomb in the making, which could drown India's northeast and wreak havoc farther downstream in Bangladesh.
Dispatched 10 tonnes of HADR assistance and essential medicines to support Nepal’s response to the devastating floods.
Our thoughts are with the bereaved families and all those affected.
In face of this challenge, India stands with Nepal and its people.
#WATCH | Delhi | On US President Trump's claims that he mediated ceasefire between India and Pakistan, Former CDS Anil Chauhan says, "The DGMO said he is not available till about 3 o'clock... and then we decided at 5 o'clock. So the ceasefire was decided between two DGMOs, and that's it. I don't see the role of anyone else. How did this particular information get leaked out to the Americans that they tweeted before we could announce this? Again, I'm really sure it did not leak out from us... Somehow got leaked out from the other side that what I feel..."
NDRF says that as per CWC’s report there has been a rise in Trishuli river at Furke Khola, Nepal (160 km from border) due to suspected GLOF near Nepal-China border. Flood wave likely in Gandak river in India.

1/3. Kirana Hills Strike during Op Sindoor: Explosion caused by loitering munition seeking radar sites around Sargodha was inadvertent, not deliberate. It could not have caused damage to nuclear facility silos. Did India have vectors of Kirana Hills nuclear facility?
Unless Mecca Pact (Pakistan Saudi Turkiye Defence Pact) says "it is not against India, we must assume it is against India", says former Indian CDS Gen Anil Chauhan; Points, "it has major security implications for India"

NEW: US Ambassador Sergio Gor slams Indian TV news

#WATCH | Canadian PM Mark Carney says, "The U.S. introduced in the last hours, efforts to restrict our ability to have other trade deals. You heard me say a moment ago what we've accomplished in the last year: 20 new deals, economic and security partnership, the prospect of doubling our market access because we believe in free trade. We are the partner of choice in many respects for countries around the world, and the Americans wanted to restrict that. They had language that they wanted to restrict, unacceptable."
