Cis people tend to think men and women are completely different species, when in reality humans have so few sexually dimorphic traits in comparison to other animals that it's crazy we have an entire society built around ts
@bloomfilters which is a shame bc feminized men whose manhood is denied might share more common ground w transmasc people who also suffered from being subjected to unwanted feminization than cis women who don’t resent being feminized as much as being unable to be feminine on their own terms
@bloomfilters 😭 Imo tma lesbians deserve more authority than men 👉👈 we should be making lesbian spaces more centered on protecting and celebrating tma lesbians and not validating men 🫂
Trans women who take up space and stick up for themselves are “male socialized” in the same way that cis women who take up space and stick up for themselves are “bitches”
once u educate yourself on Black histories within the arcade and fighting game community you'll never stop wanting to beat RTS to death with your bare hands
@TgirlTerrier at least from what I've seen in a red state, my local scene seems to be more "its either all of us or none of us" about it and there's usually a lot of us there. I've only touched with a small part of the total scene here tho so idk
how сis girls react to being transvestigated and how they talk about сis girls with ""clocky"" features is a great litmus test about how comfortable im gonna feel around them
but i prefer to not go around thinking abt that abt everyone, it'd be exhausting
as a trans women you want friends that either have a fully developed transfeminist consciousness or people who heard the phrase "trans women are women" ten years ago and went "ok" and had no further thoughts on the matter
@intactgrrl assuming that, if someone tries to give you shit after assuming you're a trans woman, you don't throw us under the bus while saying you're different.
in that case, yeah I think its awesome go for it.
@L1ly0fth3v4l3y "gay and queer are different" but in the way of one's lived experience with moving through the world in everyday life and how safe you are to do so fundamentally shapes your understanding of society and people in it. (this is even more true with racism as well).
explained the basic idea of transmisogyny to my childhood bestie and she said "well yeah, that seems obvious now youve said it? also *essentially an excerpt from a transfeminist essay*"
literally off her dome. its so easy if the person youre talking to is an Actual feminist.
