Is Ukraine's land invasion of Crimea beginning?
Ukrainian troops have raised the national flag over the Kinburn Spit in Mykolaiv Oblast, a territory that had been under Russian occupation since 2022.
According to the military, Russian forces retreated under heavy fire and are continuing to evacuate surviving personnel while abandoning their defensive positions.
Our intelligence has obtained important findings regarding the situation in Crimea and in our other territories currently under Russian occupation. Ukraine’s Foreign Intelligence Service has obtained data indicating that the crisis with fuel, military logistics, and governance in Crimea is deepening on a virtually daily basis. The Russian occupation administration quite clearly and unequivocally acknowledges its inability to resolve the problems created by our mid-range sanctions against the occupier, as well as by the implementation of our long-range sanctions plan, primarily against Russian oil refining. A similar situation is unfolding in other Russian regions as well.
We have also obtained internal Russian documents assessing the public mood among citizens of the aggressor state. At present, the level of anxiety among Russians is already higher than it was during our Kursk operation: more than 50 percent. Already, 66 percent of Russians consider their financial situation difficult. More than 80 percent of Russians believe a large-scale economic crisis in Russia is inevitable. These are absolutely clear indicators that reflect the failure of Putin’s war policy.
Separately, Oleh Luhovskyi reported on measures being carried out in Belarus, under obvious Russian influence, to prepare for a potential expansion of aggression against Ukraine. Along our state border in Belarus, the construction of road infrastructure and storage bases for ammunition and fuel and lubricants is nearing completion. These facilities have no purpose other than a military one. These are the border directions of Kobryn–Kovel, Ivanava–Manevychi, Luninets–Sarny, Rečyca–Korosten, and Homieĺ–Chernihiv. We know that Russian documents describe this specifically in the context of the tasks of the so-called “SVO.”
Belarus has received the necessary signals from Ukraine regarding this activity, as well as regarding all other formats of its collaboration with Russia in the interests of prolonging and scaling up the war. Belarus knows what steps it must take for peace. The development of border infrastructure for aggression from Belarus must be stopped. It is the Belarusian side that must take steps toward de-escalation and peace. Thank you to everyone who helps us protect lives and our independence! Glory to Ukraine!
Ukrainian President Zelenskyy reports that Belarus is no longer allowing that its signal towers are used as repeaters for Russian drones in Ukraine's north. According to him it has come effect on June 22, only three days after Ukraine's 7-day ultimatum.
Another piece of fading Russian power has been chipped away.
Russian barbarians have beheaded yet another Ukrainian soldier, and have posted yet another photo of a Russian invader holding the severed head.
I've lost count of how many Ukrainians have been decapitated. This systemic, state-ordered savagery faces no international response.
Lol
Belarus has ceded to Ukraines threats and has cut off all radio and service provider systems which were being used by Russia to guide drones into Northern Ukraine.
Wow...
Moscow refinery shut down until at least 2027 following drone attacks; extensive repairs required – Reuters. 👍👍👍
As a reminder: This plant supplied the Moscow region with fuel, so there will be no fuel available there for an extended period.
"Where the f*ck is all this heading? Why is this sh*t happening? There’s no gasoline in Moscow! How is that even possible?"
The fuel crisis continues to spread across Russia. Restrictions on gasoline and diesel sales have now been officially introduced in 22 regions, meaning fuel has become difficult to obtain in roughly one out of every four federal subjects.
The affected regions include Bryansk, Kursk, Belgorod, Voronezh, Ivanovo, Vladimir, Lipetsk, Volgograd, Penza, Saratov, Nizhny Novgorod, Vologda, and the Republic of Mordovia.
In Siberia, limits have been imposed in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug - Russia's largest oil-producing region, accounting for about 40% of the country's oil output - as well as in Tyumen, Kurgan, Omsk, Novosibirsk, Kemerovo, and Irkutsk regions. Restrictions have also been introduced in North Ossetia and Adygea.
Fuel sales have been suspended in occupied Crimea and Sevastopol, while in the so-called "LPR" motorists are limited to 20 liters per purchase.
Regional authorities have blamed the measures on "increased demand," "logistical issues," "rising exchange-traded fuel prices," and "attempts by certain market participants to exploit the surge in demand."
The Russian leadership is now pulling more air defense assets to Moscow, Valdai, and Putin’s bridge across the Kerch Strait – at the expense of air defense elsewhere.
In the Moscow region alone, they have amassed hundreds of launchers for S-400, S-500, and Pantsir systems. Nearly 90 launchers have been redeployed to Valdai from other regions of Russia, and a special air defense division is also being formed there to safeguard the peace and quiet of the Russian chief.
To compare, there are only a couple of launchers per direction across Russia and around their other cities. Those are their priorities. They are protecting their power – the source of this war. More than 60 Russian regions are already experiencing fuel shortages. There has also been a sharp increase in gas and diesel prices – if they are available at all.
Russian security services have even proposed postponing or cancelling altogether the ritual of electing “United Russia” to the State Duma. Their latest imitation of elections was scheduled for September, and intelligence reports now show that Russia itself is not confident about what will be happening by September.
There are many difficulties – all because Putin refuses to end his war and to hear our proposals for a meeting, genuine negotiations, and a dignified peace.
A Russian crеаturе tried to fill up her tank but couldn’t find any gasoline in Krasnodar. She’s genuinely confused about what’s going on in her country.
I wish someone would tell her.
They might want to mention that all those Western cars with smart features she loves won’t be around forever, either 🙄
