I really don’t understand the lack of accountability from some parents. You made the kid — they didn’t make themselves — so you’re responsible for them. Yes, university is expensive, and if you can’t pay for it, that’s understandable. The child can get loans, join the military, or just go to work and earn enough.
But I’ve noticed a lot of parents in this new generation want the control without putting in the financial effort. You can’t have it both ways. That’s just an act of pride and ego — having a trophy child just so you can say you had one.
