I used to enjoy computers. Now it's plants. I still make some music every now & again. Ever learning but at my own pace. Time with those I love is my wealth.

Thoroughly enjoyed making this with the whole family. Thanks, @EvolvingVintage, for the push! Dad and I would’ve just talked under the palm trees, but this brought out stories even I didn’t know… Some of them surprised me.
NEW VIDEO 🚨
We are telling stories straight from the mouths of our elders.
I sat down with my FIL, Prof John Collins, who took us back to the end of Colonial Ghana, the cultural differences he noticed coming from Britain, the erosion of community, and way more.
Please repost. 🥰

Happy 80th to my amazing dad! From the stars to science fiction, music to dinosaurs, genetics to anthropology - you’ve filled my life with curiosity, wisdom, and endless conversation. So much of who I am is thanks to you. Lucky doesn’t even begin to cover it. ❤️
Today, my father-in-law, Prof John Collins, turns the big 80❤️🎊
What a life he has lived, and what a privilege to be a part.
A great historian full of incredible stories. Some of them we'll document and share.
See a feature of him in our latest youtube video (check pinned post)
@yourgwriter The rituals of foreign cultures always seem bizarre the more different they are from yours. However, they also see yours the same way. These are the different ways humans have tried to resolve the realisation of the permanence of death and to strive for immortality in some form.
@FashionIdolo@jeffwellz If that were the case, I'd applaud that political party for using its money to motivate people to get up and demonstrate for safe water for every single ghanaian, including you. Some of the protestors were still kids in 2012. Wise up and join the fight for our collective future.
It's happening.😊
First tomatoes to ripen 🍅
They say the best time to plant a tree was 10 years ago, and the next best time is now.
Lucky for you, tomatoes don't take as long as trees. it's not too late to plant now and reap the rewards in a few months. 😉
My daughter's first taste of butternut squash is grown on the land she was born.
Unfortunately, we had to harvest it early cos some creature(they say it is a pickle worm) burrowed into it, but it was still very good on inside.
Organic Gardening shenanigans 😄
The Engineer himself. 👨🏽🌾
He did all the building of our concrete beds by himself because if you want to get something done perfectly, you have to do it yourself in this country 😃
Now, when we say we are closing shop, it's not our bakery. It's our garden, because this is full-time work trying to grow food for your family.
A work I take seriously as well as making videos to document what we learn.
Telling stories via video is kinda fun. 😊
After a whole year of not gardening, I'm happy to be growing food again. And more raised beds! From 3 to 10. Ambitious, but I'm stoked! Wish @EvolvingVintage and I luck cos the sun really dey roast this year.
Does anyone have access to or knows titles of books that were written by the explorers who landed on the current day Ghanaian coasts prior to the 18th century. I want to read their accounts especially on our diet and daily life.
Growing a human this year was the hardest thing I've ever done, and I couldn't have chosen a better man than @0rangefist to do it with.
From seeing a tiny fertilised egg to holding my hand/back whilst I laboured to bring our girl into this world, he was there.
Happy 30th love🎉
