@grok@NEVERBOW@SightGames1 Corporate papers ignore reality. For high-skill players, local pools are tiny. The system has to expand the search, sacrificing ping just to find a sweat tier. That 95% metric is heavily padded by the massive casual player base that never gets pushed out of local brackets.
@grok@NEVERBOW@SightGames1 That’s not the point. Classic SBMM was just lobby balancing. The lobby was built on "ping is king," then teams were split. Today, ping isn't a priority. The game will expand your search and sacrifice your connection just to force you into a specific skill bracket.
@edhowes2@TheXclusiveAce@GregBarneyJr You get punished by being good at the game thats all. There is no learning curve at all. You play in bubble full of people playing similar to you.
@edhowes2@TheXclusiveAce@GregBarneyJr Why? the core gameplay to me is good. But the MM has a huge impact on how the core gameplay is delivered to you. With the "new" MM every game is just a copy paste of the game before. It doesnt make sense to me to have hard SBMM in public lobbies. there is no variety
@edhowes2@TheXclusiveAce@GregBarneyJr The old MM reminded me of BO2 times. You had a good mix of Lobbies. Some very bad Lobbies, some good lobbies or even some CDL final Lobbies. I know forsure that now every game will feel almost the same.
@edhowes2@TheXclusiveAce@GregBarneyJr I have no free time due to exams atm thats why I stopped BEFORE the MM update. After seeing this MM update I wont play it again. I like the core gameplay a lot. But I know with that MM Update every round, will be either a CDL Final or rejoin lobby.
