• 11 days ago, BGDLabs (AAVE v3 developer) announced they are stopping work, citing conflicts and unpredictability from AAVE Labs, who allegedly proposed worsening v3 parameters to push users toward v4 (developed by AAVE Labs).

• Today, ACI announced they are leaving AAVE.
The final trigger was a proposal from AAVE Labs requesting $51M in funding. Labs voted FOR their own proposal, and it passed largely due to their voting power.
So effectively, DAO funds are being allocated to Labs by Labs themselves – with no clear reporting on previously spent funds for v4 development.

As many remember, there were already disputes around what AAVE Labs actually controls. It now appears tensions continue to escalate.
