- Anthropic (and potentially future OpenAI, Google, xAI) models that cost billions to develop will make 0 revenue outside the US
- a big double digit percentage of Anthropic (and potentially OpenAI, Google, xAI) workforce can no longer work there, because they are foreigners and are not allowed to use those models

So Trump just made frontier model development effectively unprofitable and tremendously slowed down Anthropic (and potentially others in the future)

He's handing China the win on a gold platter.

I would guess you have ADHD, because I do and this is exactly how I think about it.

You feel like you're getting one over on them because you're still able to get raises and hit KPIs while stoned, meanwhile, it makes the most boring tasks more fun too.

I did poorly in school when I was young because of this mindset tbh. I didnt smoke then, but I used to think I was sticking it to teachers by not doing homework or just leaving school before their class if I didn't like them etc. Obviously, only fucked me in the long run, and they couldn't care less.

Basically, even though it's true we can outperform the boomer bots even while high, it just makes you realize how much more you're capable of while not stoned lol

Realizing the reason why some people will be left behind by AI is actually just the sheer lack of will to try and learn it in anyway. Their eyes glaze over after two seconds of me talking about it half the time, even directly after they ask lol. I found the Anthropic courses a bit like homework too, diving into a product without any knowledge suited better for my monkey brain to learn from

They think you’re some dev or techy genius, when it literally is as simple as prompting it to ask you questions until it understands the overall goal and stumbling through the questions until then.. from there on it’s just telling Claude code not to ask again and it just scales exponentially lol
