Her boyfriend texted me. Turned out he was the one who actually needed the money. When he explained what it was for, I was moved.

I replied, "Sorry man, I don't have the money."

I do not like men who cannot handle their business without involving their women. I was giving the loan to him, not her.

My neighbour and his girlfriend have been fighting since 3 a.m.

I kept hearing him say, “After everything I’ve done for you, this is what I deserve?”

The girl kept asking, “What exactly did you do for me that’s so special?”

As soon as our gate was opened this morning, she rushed out. My neighbour chased her, snatched her phone and bag, removed her wig and blocked her.

She started screaming.

The guys outside asked, “Are they your property, or should we release the dog for you?”

Omor, she knelt down and started begging.

My neighbour removed the sim from the phone, threw it on the floor, and handed her ₦1k for transport. She didn’t take it.

Sometimes, you play an old voice note just to hear them again.
For a few seconds, it feels like they’re still here.

There's this cat in my area, I've never known who she belonged to. Just moves from house to house.

Early this year, she was heavily pregnant and I would feed her from time to time. She even gave birth under our staircase and stayed there till her kittens grew.

After that, she stopped talking to me. Would act like she has never seen me before and I had to move on too.
