i think i finally found a meme worth writing a proper thesis on

this is genuinely the first time in a loooong time i’ve found a new meme funny before even looking at the chart, and imo that matters more than almost anything else with memecoins

most memes onchain are created backwards

someone launches a coin, makes an X account and then pays people to pretend the meme is funny

qenis is the opposite

the character and content existed before the coin. @Qzoomer1 was already posting qenis, people were already sharing it and making their own versions simply because they found it funny

the concept is also stupid in exactly the right way

everyone understands the name immediately, the character is recognizable and it can be placed into basically any situation

that makes it infinitely remixable, which is what every successful internet meme needs

but this is where the thesis gets much more interesting

onchain market is in a pretty weird spot rn

RH is definitely the hottest chain atm. feels like most of the fresh attention is there and there’s still a lot of money rotating around

sol is actually getting decent volume again too, but the problem is everything feels insanely fast. something runs, everyone piles in and hours later it’s basically back at zero

base + eth still have random plays here and there, but nothing feels as consistent rn. perps are also taking a huge chunk of the attention/liquidity

one thing im watching pretty closely is Arc

people figured out how to get onto the private mainnet early and for a short period there was actually a decent amount of liq flowing in. access is basically closed again now and the official public mainnet launch is September 16

Architects is still the main runner there and probably one of my comfier holds/bids going into launch

it reminds me a lot of the CASHCAT setup on RH. CASHCAT was already trading almost 2 weeks before RH officially opened mainnet, when barely anyone could access the chain. then public mainnet opened, everyone figured out how to get there and CASHCAT went completely stupid

not saying the exact same thing has to happen with Architects, but the playbook feels very similar

also watching @GIWA_by_Upbit. it’s Upbit’s own ETH L2 and their mainnet is getting close too. another fresh chain where I think there could be some very early opportunities

Architects looks really good to me here

gateway bridges went down, RPCs have been unreliable and getting onto the chain + actually trading has been hard for most ppl

the interesting part is that Arc mainnet is still +1mo away. so rn we’re trading in an environment where most ppl still haven’t even touched the chain yet

once the infra is fully back online and everyone can access the chain normally again, it’ll be interesting to see how high this goes

reminds me a lot of the Cashcat playbook on RH. people figured out how to bridge early, access got closed again, and everyone was basically forced to watch from the sidelines. once access properly opened, Cashcat became the obv runner everyone chased

Architects feels like it has a similar setup here

already established as one of the main coins on Arc before most ppl can even access the chain, with mainnet still ahead of us

i also think ppl will start trying to frontrun the bridge reopening. wouldn’t surprise me if OTC prices start trading at a decent premium before access is back, because everyone knows what happens once the bridge opens

then fresh liq comes in + the fomo starts

and imo people naturally chase whatever already has the most attention
