56% of shoppers noticed products getting smaller without price cuts in 2025. Shrinkflation averaged 14.8% among national grocery brands.
Cereal packages. Tissue boxes. Paper towels. Laundry detergent. Each one holding less. Each one costing the same.
Companies didn't increase prices. They decreased what you get. The math landed on your grocery bill anyway.
In the first six months of 2025, 77,999 tech jobs were directly attributed to AI. That's 427 layoffs per day.
Meanwhile, entry-level job postings dropped 15% year over year. Employers mentioning "AI" in job descriptions surged 400% in two years.
New graduates aren't entering a market. They're entering a replacement process.

Americans collectively owe $1.77 trillion in student loan debt across 42.5 million borrowers. The average per person is $39,000.
These aren't old debts. They're growing. 3.6 million borrowers now owe over $100,000 each. In 2018, only 2.5 million did.
The system marketed education as an investment. It structured debt as a punishment.
S&P 500 CEOs earned $18.9 million in 2024. Their median worker earned around $66,000.
That's a 285-to-1 ratio. The median employee would have to start working in 1740 to match what the CEO made in one year.
In 1978, that ratio was 31-to-1. CEO pay grew 1,094% since then. Worker pay grew 26%.
Rent in America climbed 31% since 2019. Wages climbed 23%.
That means you need to earn nearly $80,000 per year just to keep rent from consuming 30% of your income. That's the federal definition of not being broke.
The gap widened because landlords control supply. Workers don't control anything.
Providers brought 1.2 million surprise billing disputes in the first half of 2025 alone. They won 88% of them.
When insurers tried to push back on inflated charges, arbitration favored the provider almost every time. In one case, a plastic surgeon got paid $440,000 for a breast reduction that normally costs $20,000.
The system created to stop surprise bills became the system that weaponized them.
