OK this is insane 🤯

@canva just quietly killed one of design's biggest time sinks

it's called Magic Layers and it does something that used to be impossible:

it turns any flat image back into editable layers

think about that for a second.

every designer knows the pain. someone sends you a flattened PNG. the source file is gone. the freelancer who made it disappeared 2 years ago.

your options were:
>rebuild the whole thing from scratch
>beg for the original file
>give up

now you just upload the image and the AI splits it apart. text, shapes, illustrations, backgrounds. all separate. all editable.

it's like un-baking a cake and getting the eggs back lol

a few details that matter:

works on uploads, canva library images, and flattened exports from other tools

one honest caveat: it shines on graphic designs and illustrations. photo-realistic images don't separate as cleanly. clear boundaries between elements = best results.

tea is not defined by launch-week market activity.

Our focus is execution: the tooling, bridge access, project and repository functionality, rewards validation, and the practical features that allow the community to use tea properly.

We will continue to communicate as there is more to share.
