What If ENS and NFT Auctions Were Private?
Today’s on-chain auctions are fundamentally broken.
Every bid is public. Everyone sees everyone else’s strategy. And as a result, nobody reveals their true valuation.
If you own a unique ENS name and I am willing to pay 1 ETH for it, I will never post that publicly. The moment I do, I become the price anchor for every other bidder. Instead of discovering real value, the market converges around signals, not intent.
Private computation is the unlock! with just two serious stacks in play today: @zama (FHE) and @Zcash / @Starknet (ZK).
With @zama 's confidential computing technology, bidders can submit encrypted bids that no one else can see, not even the marketplace, while the auction logic still executes correctly. The marketplace still collects its fee. The only thing that disappears is strategic leakage.
Fixing the “Legendary NFT Crash”
Some NFTs were once bought by celebrities at outrageous prices. Many of them have since collapsed in value.
Justin Bieber spent about $1.3 million on Bored Ape #3001 in 2022. Today it is worth roughly $12,500! 95% decline. Stephen Curry and Madonna made similar high-profile purchases, only to see their NFTs lose over 60–80% of their value.
Now that the hype has faded, owners are afraid to list again. Why?
✅ Public bids expose desperation.
✅ Low visible offers scare away serious buyers.
✅ Price discovery becomes psychological, not economic.
With private bids, assets can be relisted without public embarrassment. The market can rediscover true value without social pressure or manipulation.
Why Sealed Bids Create Better Markets
Imagine a real-world auction: the last vehicle ever used by Michael Jackson. Twenty whales want it. All have liquidity. All have their own valuation.
In today’s public auction model, they strategically underbid, watch each other, and distort the outcome. The auction drags on. Value is hidden.
With sealed, confidential bids:
✅ Everyone submits their true price.
✅ The asset goes to whoever values it most.
✅ The auction finishes faster! no games, no sniping.
A New Market Structure
Confidential auctions don’t just improve privacy.
They deliver:
✅ Better price discovery
✅ Higher final sale prices
✅ Faster auctions
✅ Less manipulation
This is not a feature upgrade.
It is a fundamental redesign of how digital markets should work.

🚨MORPHO HITS $100M IN CONFIDENTIAL VAULTS VIA ZAMA!
More than $100 million is now earning yield in Morpho Vaults through Zama, with positions and earnings kept confidential.
Morpho co-founder @MerlinEgalite pointed to the rapid uptake as clear demand for private onchain credit.
MILESTONE:
$100M+ is now earning yield on @Morpho using confidential tokens.
The same curators and strategies institutional capital already uses. Positions and earnings stay encrypted onchain.

Last week, it was all smiles with our Solidity students and their mentor, and if you’ve been keeping up with our previous posts, you know that’s a RARE sight. 😂
Mentor @devvmichael, you need to tell us your secret. What did you do differently? 👀😂
#Solidity#Web3Bridge
I’m very excited and honored, to announce that I’ve been named Chief Business Officer at @zama .
I’ve spent almost twelve years in crypto. I’ve watched it go from a fringe experiment to something institutions can no longer ignore, through every cycle, every boom, every collapse, every slow rebuild of trust after. One gap never closed through any of it - blockchains ask every institution, every business, every person to run their finances in the open. That was never going to be what brings real money onchain at scale.
I joined Zama in November 2025, right before mainnet, because I believe confidentiality is the infrastructure that finally makes that possible - Zama makes it possible. It’s the bridge that lets the institutions holding the world’s capital actually move onchain.
This past year our business team signed partnerships across major players, launched confidential DeFi, and built a pipeline that holds up against anything else in this space. That work has been a game-changer putting Zama at the forefront, showcasing what confidentiality can bring to the table and what the new internet of tomorrow could look like at scale.
@randhindi and the board are putting real weight behind where this team can take Zama next. I feel that responsibility.
Thank you to Rand, to the board and to every person at Zama who makes this real every day.
Now, let's go win!
Zama is a turning point for privacy and confidentiality. Hear @randhindi talk about @zama and explain why it's important for the future of privacy.
This is why Zama matters. @andyyy

If we missed you at Digital Assets Week, the short version:
When a tokenized security moves, its compliance breaks and its record splits. T-REX keeps the rules inside the security and one record of who owns it, no matter where it’s traded.
Mainnet is targeting November.
It’s hard to make things simple. It took us years of cryptography and engineering.
Today, shielding a token takes one transaction. Same token, same chain, no bridging.
Your balance and transfer amounts are encrypted onchain. Hold it, send it, earn on it, swap it.
That’s what it should feel like. Not a feature you go and find, just how things work.

You’ve read enough threads about privacy. Try it instead.
Shielding a token takes one transaction. No new chain, no new wallet, no bridging.
Your balance is then encrypted onchain. Hold it, send it, earn on it, swap it.
