AZUKI, a new original manga series created by Arnold Tsang (@steamboy33) releases this September on https://t.co/Ha9KyXjFI0
Read it first at Anime Expo at booth WH-424
The point is to create game than costs less than Destiny to upkeep in the long term. Destiny dev costs are insane when compared to what it makes, especially in the last few years.
Even pre-marathon, there was no world where Sony was green lighting a D3.
Marathon breaking even and turning a profit (probably by year end) is pretty much the exact scenario that would make Sony even consider a D3.
@123_relentlesss@CoolRunnerCraig I think session lengths are way shorter on Marathon compared to other games too. It’s my “main” game right now and I still only clock in for like 1-2 matches a night at most. It’s simply too stressful for long play sessions. I think that impacts concurrent numbers a lot.
@JennyENicholson noclipping was fine, I just don’t think you should be able to go back out the same way.
falling into it was a good way to handle it, but the movie versions makes it feel too.. accessible
@IconIcon137227@DrewskysChannel@Separer It absolutely can. It doesn’t have to be a carbon copy of a game to honor a game. Marathon honours Halo & Destinys deep lore, it honors Halo PvP and arguably improves greatly on Destiny’s incredibly neglected Crucible mode.
@chasingstorms01@witchyousuck This shot is in the trailer. The shot in the movie is a different take (way different tone too, she’s not even scared in this scene)
@Clairomancer@LSkinnyO@gnarwhal19 used to drop $60 on some random single player game, beat it in 5 hours and never think twice about it
now we play for 100+ hours and say the games not for us
@Geezaws2 Husks are cool, but they feel more like a specialty unit (like witches from L4D or something)
But we still need a slower moving horde that increases in size over the duration of the match, ideally the fungal zombie colonists 🤷♂️
