Update on Momoguro:
The two-month investigation by the holders has reached its conclusion.

The sheer volume of inconsistencies that've come to light is honestly mind-blowing.
I find it hard to believe that we're still dealing with this kind of stuff in 2023.

I'm lending them my platform to amplify their voices, but why?

▪️ Because it's disheartening to witness Web2 businesses infiltrate our space and undermine the trust of genuine builders.

▪️ We need to sound off about this and get everyone in the loop to stop this from happening again.
Many might think it's a waste of time and that we should focus on productive pursuits. However, consider this:

▪️ How many people have we lost in the past two years because they got burned?
I've seen it myself - a lot of former Momoguro holders have left the space for good.

▪️ Sure, we all say don't overinvest, which is fair, but it's tough for the average person to stay on top of everything and do their own research.

▪️ How about startups deliver first, and then we invest in them?
As it stands, the majority of projects have not improved the space; they've repeatedly extracted resources without leaving anything of value in return, except painful scars.

▪️ The truth is, we need to normalize speaking up.
Too many people here are scared to voice their concerns because they don't want to damage their connections with those involved.
This very fear is why anyone can waltz in and take advantage of us, they see us as a joke.
We need a shift in this dynamic.

Today,
Momoguro released their so-called game, which is really just a "click to continue" & rock-paper-scissors system.

It turns out, the hype was all a lie.
I apologize if you joined this 'xxxx' because of me;
I should have dyor better.

The number of red flags and falsehoods, starting with the false claim that Disney was backing the project, and then the misleading information about releasing a game when, in fact, it was just a fancy gamified staking experience, is staggering.
👉It's no wonder they never shared a gameplay preview or planned any Web3 gaming marketing.

The issues are so numerous that I should probably write a thread about it, but it would take a lot of time, and tbh, I'm exhausted from all of this (not to mention my and @dingalingts bags are rekt).

I feel sorry for the community that believed in this project.
Moving forward, I'll try to be more cautious and prevent external players from taking advantage of us.
