They put Optimus and Figure 03 side by side and let the footage speak for itself.

Top half, a wall of Optimus units standing in formation inside Tesla's own factory, dozens of them racked and idle, ready to be shipped out. Bottom half, one of them breaks into a full sprint across the same floor, arms swinging, balance never breaking.

Nobody's comparing spec sheets anymore. This is two humanoid robot companies putting their actual hardware next to each other in the same frame, at the same time, no CGI, no stage lighting, just concrete floors and fluorescent lights.

A year ago this comparison didn't exist because neither company had anything worth comparing. Now there's a real race, and it's happening faster than anyone outside these two labs realized.

There's a humanoid robot working a real roofing job right now, raking debris off the roof next to actual construction workers, not in a lab, not on a stage.

No cameras staged around it for a keynote. Just guys in work clothes hauling bags of old shingles while the robot rakes the same section of roof, keeping pace with the crew instead of standing off to the side as a demo.

Roofing was supposed to be way too rough, too physical, too unpredictable for a robot to touch anytime soon. Uneven surfaces, debris everywhere, real weather. This one's already out there doing it.

The construction industry has been the one everyone said was safe for years. That claim just got a lot shakier.
