Since 2002, the International Criminal Court has prosecuted 33 cases. 32 out of those 33 have been African. Apparently no crime worthy of ICC prosecution has been committed anywhere on earth except in Africa for the past 24 years.

Now they are making noises about prosecuting the Tanzanian government for last year’s election-related violence (but not the actual instigators and culprits). This was the sort of ludicrously one-eyed decision that made Burundi, Mali, Burkina Faso and Niger leave that institution, and like the rest of the continent, Tanzania will have to make a choice soon.

We will either remain voluntarily trapped within institutions built to cage and target us, or walk away and build our own fit-for-purpose institutions.

What do you do when you accidentally knock out a tooth?

A child falls while playing.
A football hits someone in the face.
A bad slip on the bathroom floor.

Suddenly a tooth is lying on the ground.

Panic sets in.

Someone shouts:
“Throw it away!”
“It’s gone forever.”
“Just wait until the dentist replaces it.”

But here’s something many people don’t know:

A knocked-out tooth can sometimes be saved.

Yes. The same tooth can go back into the mouth and survive — if the right steps are taken quickly.

The clock starts ticking the moment the tooth leaves the socket.

The tiny living fibers around the root begin to dry out.
But if we protect them, the tooth still has a chance.

So what should you actually do?

First — find the tooth immediately.

Pick it up by the crown (the white part).
Avoid touching the root.

Those delicate cells on the root are what help the tooth reattach.

If the tooth is dirty, gently rinse it with clean water or saline for a few seconds.

Do not scrub it.
Do not use soap.

Now comes the most important step.

If possible, place the tooth back in the socket immediately and have the person gently bite on cloth or gauze.

If that’s not possible, keep the tooth moist.

The best places to store it are:
• Cold milk
• Saline solution
• Inside the cheek (if the person is conscious and old enough)

Avoid storing it in dry tissue or water for long periods.

And then — get to a dentist immediately.

Time matters.

When a tooth is replanted within 30–60 minutes, the chances of saving it are much higher.

I’ve seen teeth saved this way.

One small action can mean the difference between losing a tooth forever and keeping it.

Most people simply don’t know this.

So remember:

If a tooth gets knocked out,
don’t panic. Don’t throw it away.

Handle it carefully. Keep it moist. See a dentist fast.

Norway Found Oil. Then Did the One Thing Most Countries Never Do

The Ekofisk field changed everything.

Suddenly, this small Scandinavian nation was sitting on extraordinary wealth.

They could have done what most oil-rich countries do:

* Create economic bubbles.
* Enrich a few while the many suffer.

Nigeria tried that.
Venezuela tried that.

In 1990, the Norwegian Parliament created the Government Pension Fund Global.

All oil profits would flow into the fund. The fund would invest globally in thousands of companies. Norway could only withdraw a small percentage each year—originally 4% - now 3%.
The rest would stay invested. Forever.

People thought they were insane.

Why hoard money for people who don't even exist yet?

Why not lower taxes, build bigger programs, and enjoy the wealth right now?

The Norwegian government had an answer...

Because future Norwegians will exist. And they deserve this wealth as much as we do.

In 1996, they deposited the first payment: $150 million.
