My toxic opinion would be that if the WC is how you learnt geography then you must've not been curious at all cause not up to half of all the countries worldwide have ever featured in it.

Like in all the WCs played EVER, let's not even talk about individual tournaments.

As a kid, the World Cup was my actual geography teacher. You’ll be 10 years old casually learning about different countries, flags, and continents just because they’re in a group stage group with your national team. Best tournament on Earth. The Olympics too had that effect ngl

@MaryRoseMalomo That's the *compulsory school age (primary school/first grade and above), which is more or less the same as Nigeria.

Anything below that is preschool age. And yes, kids abroad still do preschool like us. Whatever that guy said is a gross exaggeration.
