I see a lot of new accounts trying to post a lot of stuff every day, but they're all at basically zero impressions

also it's interesting that your method is actually almost only replying to your own posts! every other creator I know started out basically just being a reply guy on other people's posts lol

Five million WHAT?!?

If you don’t yet have five million impressions, you’ll want to read this.

Why do we care about impressions?

One of the three main requirements for monetization is that you must achieve five million (5M) impressions within the last 90 days.

First, what is an impression?

An impression is anytime any user sees anything you published on X.

Those impressions come from any content you post, (almost) anywhere on X. This includes both your original content posts and your replies to other people's content.

Aim for at least 55K+ impressions per day

In order to achieve 5M impressions in the last 90 days, you must average 55,000 or more impressions every day.

Keep in mind, this will only get you to the bare minimum of monetization in 90 days. If you’re trying to monetize quickly, you’ll need to achieve much higher averages.

Important! Only organic impressions count

Another very important point is that X now only counts organic impressions. I’ve been told everyone has at least some fake impressions due to bots, search engine skimming, and etc.

Unfortunately, X doesn’t tell us how many of our impressions are organic. They just don’t let you enroll in ad revenue until you have 5M organic impressions.

Retweets of other people’s content don’t count, but quote posts do

People are often surprised to learn that retweeting other people’s content doesn’t count towards impressions.

You can see this for yourself by looking at your post analytics. You won’t even see the retweets of other people’s content on the list.

This is why I recommend quote posting, instead. Add your own spin to the post and fire away!

How to check analytics

Finding out how many impressions you’ve had over the last 90 days is easy. Just go into analytics in the Premium section of your profile . Once there, choose ‘impressions’ and ‘3M’ (3 months) as the time range.

Unfortunately, detailed analytics are only available to Premium subscribers. If you aren’t verified, you’ll have to guess your current progress.

How to quickly get to 5M impressions

If you are a large account, getting to 5M impressions should be quite easy: just continue publishing quality content and engaging.

But for everyone else, the absolute best way to get to 5M impressions is by using the “reply guy” strategy.

How to be a “Reply Guy”

The basic Reply Guy is really anyone who goes out and engages with other people’s content. This can be done by replying to posts in your “For You” feed or by browsing X and going wherever the wind blows you, replying along the way.

But if you really want to kick your impressions into overdrive, be what I call a “Super” Reply Guy.

How to be a Super Reply Guy

1️⃣ Identify popular accounts with 500K-3M followers

2️⃣ Follow them and turn on notifications

3️⃣ As soon as those accounts post, reply with a quick, funny, engaging reply (keep replies on topic and not spammy; avoid dropping post links)

4️⃣ Repeat

When monetizing an account, I usually set aside an hour, or two, to turn on my X notifications and actively reply each day.

Once monetized, impressions don’t matter (much)

You might be happy to know that the 5M impressions requirement only applies to getting monetized.

Once you’re enrolled, you do not need to maintain 5M impressions.

That’s it. If you understand these key concepts, you should be able to get to 5M impressions in no time.
