An anon artist is building a parallel archive from symbols, AI, crypto culture, leaks, memes, political theater, and the invisible fingerprints of power.
The aim isn’t to explain the event.
It’s to capture what it feels like to live through it before the world has the language for it.
Art succeeds when it stays with you, when you can bring it to the dinner table and speak about it with genuine interest. Yes, only a few may experience it firsthand. Thousands pass through museums and stand before great works, but how much truly lingers? How much of it lives on in you good enough to resurface later in conversation?
Some judge the success of an artwork by the derivatives it generates. Here, the post is the art, and the comments and quotes are its derivatives. By that measure, the total time spent engaging with this piece likely surpasses that of most artworks of any medium produced in at least the past decade outside of memes.
i just generated an image in the style of a Monet painting using AI
please describe, in as much detail as possible, what makes this inferior to a real Monet painting
I didn’t interact with this post as I have zero knowledge on Monet’s style or technique and in no way can figure it out. It may be technically possible to overfit a model on the water Lilies to generate near similar image, idk.
But with the energy this test has gathered and shifted my timeline altogether wanting me to read through each interactions.
