I was hesitant to join Season 1 knowing a 30-day contest would warrant day trading with high leverage, which is absolutely the opposite of how I invest/trade. Even with fake money.

It turned out to be the most fun I've had all year. Ironically my real portfolio was getting murdered by the markets all during this. I wouldn't say the competition reinforced any good habits for most of us 😂, but it's funny how much you can care when competing for those top 10 spots rewarding real substantial amounts (top prize = $1M).

It has also prompted me to want to trade Synthetix perps once they're fully live on Ethereum Mainnet.

For Season 1, there were only 100 invite spots for but for Season 2, anyone can join before kicking off Dec 1st!

Clearly, the markets have been brutal and for that reason, I almost thought to pay less attention in S1 thinking "i got enough real issues to worry about in my portfolio" but in the end, it was very fun. And oddly helpful to remind myself why I don't trade like this with real money, basically affirm why I only buy/sell a few times each year.
