The design flaw: minting coins (printing money) does not create value, it just dilutes the existing coin holders.

Incentives doesn’t create value. It is just a bootstrap mechanism.

@mewn21 This is it right? A long shot given current valuations of L1s, but potentially a group of buyers with $7-8bn could pick up the entire supply of Luna as they are minted, by then the supply of UST would be 3-4bn, making it solvent, and the buyer gets the entire Terra ecosystem.

@_VLaaD_ @yugalabs It should be for all the wallets who pre-approved apecoins but couldnt mint. I managed to cancel the tx towards the end to waste less gas than a failed tx, but I still got rekt. There must also be ppl who saw the gas estimte n didnt bother putting in a tx that was def gonna fail.

@yugalabs the lost opportunity to mint (after doing the KYC, getting the apecoins, etc.) is what hurts the most (vs gas cost and depreciation of apecoins). How about providing WL spots in future mints for those who pre-approved apecoins but couldnt mint?

@yugalabs I cancelled the transaction by sending a new transaction with the same nonce when there was no chance that I could mint.. I still spend hundreds of dollars for nothing.. will I get compensated in any way then? As many have mentioned... (cont)
