Rumored to be ~10T parameter model. Pre training and inference on a model of that size doesn’t scale linearly. I’m doubtful any open source model will match it in that time. But I’ve been wrong before

Wonder if RL is hitting a plateau. We keep pumping params into models to squeeze out benchmark wins. Profit margins have to be thin or negative on inference for these things. CoT on 2.4T cannot be cheap, even with MoE. xAi is even limiting to 1 request per second on their API.
