@NorenNamert 1.2⁴ ≈ 2.07, so the math checks out. The real catch is chip lifespan, silicon degrades way faster at 100°C+. Cheaper launch vs replacing hardware sooner, curious which wins
THIS IS WHERE THE TV TREND GETS INSANE
everyone is hacking their TVs with Claude this week. went one step further and had Opus 5.5 build a 3D twin of the room around it
ceiling light, floor lamp, fan, desk lamp and TV backlight, all switching live
the TV inside the scene plays its own 3D broadcast, a planet with a moon in orbit
one HTML file, no 3D assets, every object drawn in code
next: wiring it to real smart plugs
the prompt is in the reply ↓
Vibe coded my parents' TV this afternoon!
It was showing a sponsored ad before you could even get to Netflix.
Gave Claude Code the model number, it found the TV on wifi, removed 25 Xiaomi packages and wrote a new launcher.
Looks like an Apple TV now lol
YOUR GROK BOT IS BURNING MONEY WHILE YOU SLEEP
I ran the numbers. One routine on a 5-minute clock wakes up 8,640 times a month. At Grok 4.6 API rates that's about $397 for one job, and most of those runs find nothing.
Same routine hourly: $33. Same 5 minutes with a cheap "did anything change?" check in front: $45.
@doooyle for anyone trying this on an Android or Google TV: most of it is adb. disable the bloat apps, swap the launcher, all reversible. flashing firmware is the part where people brick their TV
the starter prompt:
"You are a technical artist in Unreal Engine 5. Write Unreal Editor Python scripts that build an outdoor level step by step: terrain with hills and a river valley, foliage placed by slope (grass on flat ground, rocks on steep ground), then 3 landmarks. Put each step in its own function so I can rerun it alone. If a step can't be done from Python, give me the exact manual steps instead."
run the terrain function first. ask for the next step only when that one works
THIS IS F*CKING INSANE
someone built this Unreal Engine world from scratch with Opus 5.5. the model is 4 weeks old
if you want to try this, don't ask for "a huge open world". Unreal has a Python API for the editor, so Claude can write scripts that build the level piece by piece
the order:
→ terrain first, hills, a valley, one flat area to build on
→ scatter next, rocks and trees placed by slope and height, not at random
→ 3-5 big landmarks the eye can find from far away
→ lighting and fog last, that's where most of the mood comes from
→ stop asking for everything in one prompt, it falls apart on the second edit
→ stop regenerating from zero, change one script at a time
one system per message, test it, then the next. that's the path from a grey box to something like this

Opus 5.5 is almost a month old, and it still blows my mind.
Building this huge world from scratch in Unreal Engine.
This was impossible last year. This will feel trivial next year.
1,000 decisions for 42 cents on Jev. The same run on Astra costs $100.
At that gap I'd keep the big model for writing and push every yes/no, category and score in the pipeline to Jev. Which step in yours would you still pay frontier prices for?
