If you bought your TV on something like Amazon, screenshot the listing and drop it in Claude code, tell it you saw people using Claude code to change their TVs and make them less bloated and cooler

Ask it if it's capable of doing that to this tv. If it can say ok give me the step by step and recommend some ideas

That's how mine started. It walked me through enabling developer mode on my tv and opening it to wifi debugging and it did the rest

Hacked my TV with Claude Code today

No more ads, bloatware, spyware or laggy UI

I also got a beautiful screensaver with my revenue, calendar, weather, and notifications for new Stripe payments

this is the ultimate shortcoming of dots, bot, muse, duet, et all

We all would love the AI that runs itself because we imagine it working with our decision making and creativity

But if you truly go deep with any of these tools you see the human in the loop is not only necessary, but the difference maker in people succeeding and those not succeeding

Even still the guy running 50 agents and the guy running 50 claude code tabs ends the day with "AI Brain", getting fried, but they're not on the same path

Agent guy is on the road to slopville and tabs guy is heading towards the ultimate destination that his human taste leads to

The only exception being, someone who runs their loops enough times manually to see almost every angle, then placing that thing into an agent/bot. That person's bots are much more successful than someone who goes bot-first into a job

Probably related to the fact that AI trained on AI content gets dumber not smarter.

Every time I try to hand some improvement loop to AI it fails spectacularly.

After a year of daily scraping Reddit + LLM Citations + seo data, I finally seem to have an SEO/AI SEO setup that starts showing real traffic in about a month

Tried and failed a lot of things, but I've got some fun daily routines I've been running on new sites, dead old sites, tools, programmatic sites, everything and it seems to be working

There's so much we're told to do, it's just too tedious for us to be consistent with everything (until AI). Onsite and offsite, it really does handle the majority of what I imagine an overpriced agency would do

this site in particular was something I made beginning of last year that I had a hard time selling.

Went from 1 Google click a day to ~50/day in about a month!

I've never had a successfull SaaS, only services, but since Opus 5.5 I've got my first real software off the ground

$266 the first month, $1.6k this month, on track for $2.6k by month's end.

I was able to really quickly test a few bold offers that I hadn't seen elsewhere in SaaS, hone in, and go much faster than a sales guy like me should be able to go.

And since I couldn't win the saas game for so long, I spent that time in cold email, which has been the only way I've grown here.

But even better, now I can do things like SEO that I never had time to learn. Even though this thing is like 6 weeks old, I already got backlinked in a newsletter and in a linkedin article with someone just randomly finding me.

It's built around cold email, which has a bunch of secret sauce in it (it's art just as much as science) so I feel good about it being defensible.

But what I love is that now I can go test the next idea while giving this one a bit of attention daily. I was never able to do that before!

Professionally I was in sales. From 2016-2020 I was doing coding courses on line like Wes Bos, Ryan Kulp, Lee Robinson.

2020 - 2022 I built a few terrible saas apps that barely made money, then AI coding came along

I say all that to ilustrate: technical enough to know code and write it but not an engineer or educated in comp sci, and I care more about customer service and sales

So with something like this, let's say I see an error that looks suspicious, I know enough to say "looks like you're not paginating that db query bc there's only 1k in it and I know we have more records" and similar types of problems

That said, I still have not looked at code in a very long time besides having claude write out its code for an important part of a workflow so I can see what's going wrong
