Wrapping your receptacles in electrical tape before installing them helps protect against minor things like bugs and dust getting on those terminals. Black tape is a cleaner look, but, this is going in my garage so I don't care.
@21TCar Wrong. The sun rising and setting is what influences your melatonin and starts your sleep signals. In the next time zone you'll adhere to the same pattern, so the adjustment is much different and doesn't take as long
"hey everyone, instead of waking up at 6am, and having the sun set at 430pm, let's wake up at 5am and PRETEND it's 6am. Then the sun sets at 530! We are so smart!"
This is the logic of daylight savings time. You lose an hour of sleep. You have zero say in the matter.
@biznuz_nunya@JLucksan@courtneyknill They might not like it being dark at 430, but their bodies will be better prepared for it than if it was artificially dark at 530 instead
@KantorKutyus@thereal_EstherG people get pretty pissed off when things are stolen from them, and idiots like you tell them to "stop whining" and "you will adjust"
How about you adjust to eating my ass
Working outside, my job depends on sunlight. Now I get to go home even later during the winter months. But hey, you guys pretend to love blue collar workers so much, I'm sure you will be against this, right?
BREAKING: The House has passed legislation to make Daylight Saving Time permanent nationwide, ending the twice-a-year clock changes by a 308-117 vote. Backed by President Trump, the bill now heads to the Senate. If approved and signed into law, Americans would no longer have to change their clocks.
@KantorKutyus@thereal_EstherG I voted for Trump you idiot. Imagine the gall, you are living in permanent standard time while chastising those that don't want to live in permanent daylight savings time. Shut the fuck up you stupid moron
@KB7_4 If you work graveyard, then your opinion is not relevant. You have already fucked yourself up and your body hates you. How many pills do you take?
What does the sun being up at 4am do to you? Your lazy ass will still be sleeping. I actually wake up at 4 and wouldn't mind getting some sunlight earlier in my day.
And yes. You are pretending. Time is based off the sun. Noon is when the sun is supposed to be highest. This isn't perfect due to how we have time zones set up, but we are close when we are on standard time.
@happy_floridian Working hours remain the same. Does school start later? Does work start later? No. It starts at the same time. The only difference is, you are waking up an hour earlier and pretending it's later. There is no shifting. There is no leeway.
@RushBaby1980@ChrisMartzWX Darkness by 5pm is an extremely short period of the year that you are willing to let the government steal 356 sleep hours/year of your life over.
You don't like winter. Get a UV light.
@michael_k_woods@schuelkecorn@courtneyknill You wouldn't know what hard work was if it slapped you on your triple chins. And DST artificially makes the days earlier, when it says the day is later, on the clock. So by your own dumbass logic, standard time is the way to go.
Don't think too hard on it, you'll hurt yourself
A tree almost fell on me in Houston as well, holy shit
I was the only one around, and I was walking in the park. I had this weird feeling I was being watched, so I stopped to look around. Then, after not even a very strong breeze, I heard a loud crack and a tree crashed down about 5 feet in front of me, exactly where I would have been. The whole thing was exacerbated by the fact that I just took a huge dose of LSD. (Allegedly)
