Between the hours of 3 a.m. Sunday morning & 8 a.m. this morning, the El Paso Police Department responded to 204 traffic crashes, traffic-related incidents & stalled vehicles. The roads are icy. Slow down, avoid driving if possible & be safe out there!

Scammers using police regional command phone numbers to scam money under threat of arrest or ruse to take your money. The EPPD will not call and demand money or gift cards or anything of value in lieu of arrest. And no officers will be standing by outside to arrest you if not.

It is with a heavy heart that we inform of the passing of Retired Captain Antonio C. Muro.

Captain Muro, a US Navy Vet and a Firefighter for 29 years, passed away on October 23, 2020 at the age of 74.

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office is hosting a blanket drive to benefit El Paso Animal Services this winter season.

During the cold winter months, these blankets will help bring a little warmth and comfort to animals in shelters looking for their forever homes.
