@ProFootballTalk JFC, have you ever heard of Title IX? Of course you have. And the courts have long ago ruled on proportionality in the Brown University case. I can’t believe this big picture question escapes you. It’s been a fundamental piece of athletic departments for nearly 35 years!
@Schultz_Report I think he eventually gets in but he’s gonna have to wait. He’s got good numbers and was largely a consistent winner. The honors case is pretty light though.
All kinds of factors weigh into this, we know this. The number of first round flameouts both had really surprised me. We all know about Princeton and Santa Clara, but it doesn’t end there at all (and Utah never came close to losing in the first round for the entire decade, had to point that out).
@VegasUte Supposedly, Utah hoops got a massive get, but for those of us who’ve followed the program for decades, “massive” would require us to completely redefine the word’s meaning.
@Timrod22689737@WCCSG_ They both won a national title, AZ has one more FF, both have three E8s. Both lost FOUR first round games to double digit seeds in the Dance. Again, it’s close. If Utah finishes the job in 1998, it’s probably ahead of both.
