Here’s how chapter 1 of 100 days of climate activism - schools chapter at OUR LADY PARENTS’ SCHOOL went.

Pupils showcased poems, a climate song, recycling art, and even a talk-show role-play where they acted as community leaders discussing real climate issues in Uganda, from waste management to tree cover and solutions they believe can transform their communities.

A special congratulations to Busingye Holiness (Primary 5) whose outstanding grasp of climate issues earned her the grand prize of Term 1, 2026 school fees. A true climate champion.

We were honoured to host representatives from the District Environment Office, who encouraged communities to take climate change seriously and emphasized the urgent need for tree planting and responsible waste management, especially as Luwero’s and the country’s weather becomes more unpredictable.

The school’s management expressed gratitude for bringing this conversation to their pupils and committed to carrying this spirit forward.
