@OfficialDMRC I know administration is trying its best but it’s time for some strict rules for those who carry their bags on shoulders in metro. They literally take a space of two people, hurting others. Sadly, fines & strict penalties are only ways to make Indians obey.
22 *more* ideas from David Ogilvy:
1. Avoiding excess in all things is a recipe for dullness and mediocrity.
2. Poets see an ad as an end. Killers as a means to an end. If you are both killer and poet, you get rich.
3. Fire problem clients. We pass this way only once.
4. For Pete's sake write shorter memos. Cut your wordage in half.
5. Soak yourself in research and never stop selling.
6. Find peers who share your unremitting drive to achieve excellence.
7. Keep a giant clock in your office.
8. Continue to hammer away at new business. Sooner or later all accounts will go.
9. Steal from the best.
10. Few great achievements were generated in an atmosphere of sweetness, light and enthusiasm, but rather one of dynamic tension, complicated by off-stage muttering.
11. Have humility in the presence of a good idea.
12. Repeat your winners.
13. Pricing is guesswork.
14. It is suicide to settle for second-rate performance.
15. If you have any charm, ooze it.
16. Cultivate and flaunt your eccentricities.
17. Do not address your readers as though they were gathered together in a stadium. When people read your copy, they are alone.
18. Blaze new trails!
19. Remember you are a human being writing to another human being. Neither of you is an institution.
20. Tell your prospective client what your weak points are before he notices them. This will make you more credible when you boast about your strong points.
21. I believe in the Scottish proverb: “Hard work never killed a man." Men die of boredom, psychological conflict and disease. They never die of hard work.
22. I believe in lots of vacations. Sabbaticals recharge batteries.
I just made another podcast on David Ogilvy (the 5th one)

Take a bow, Ogilvy - what an outstanding line of thought - 'tea' as India's social network! So, offering tea becomes 'friend request', people's smiles become 'Likes', the fragrance of tea becomes 'trending', and more! Perfect ad for World Social Media Day, today - June 30, 2023.
