Partisanship makes every issue a fight between the extremes, and a certain recipe for no improvement. Incumbents won't change a system that is benefiting them.
Court order defied.
First of many as I've been warning and start of true constitutional crisis.
Ultimately will lead to Trump #impeachment proceedings.

I went to the Senate floor to lay out for my colleagues the stunning story of brazen, open corruption during the first 6 weeks of the Trump presidency.
I think it's a story everyone needs to know.
1/ So a🧵with the highlights from the speech.
@highbrow_nobrow The size of tariffs he’s talking about boils down to him unilaterally saying the tariffed country can no longer sell that product in the US, unless they come build it in the US.
If that item involves components from 1, 2, or 10 other countries, well, they’re all involved, too.
@NydkPols @PriceRip@AMahoney49er@EricG1247 Agreed, for now.
From my twitter handle, you may surmise I believe if the Senate did its job, a lot of things could change for the better.
Not sure why we can’t find 60 adults that can consistently compromise to agreement.
@NydkPols @PriceRip@AMahoney49er@EricG1247 Not that it is, but that it should be more so.
The struggle for power, ie party politics, resides in Congress.
A President needs to rise above party politics.
@NydkPols @PriceRip@AMahoney49er@EricG1247 There is a benefit in having the bully pulpit, but other than that, the EC is really a moot point.
Especially if the Senate and House, who are controlled (voted) by the people, functioned normally.
@sweetcabbage6@AMahoney49er@EricG1247 I’ve always felt the Senate protects the will of the small states. But, I like the state govt argument for abolishing the EC.
The Senate’s role and #’s need to survive for their crucial chks and bals role though. Crucial when functioning properly, anyway.
@wallstreetbets Who cares what Biden, Harris or Trump backs? They are relegated to advocates, and must get Congress to agree.
Even executive orders are limited. Congress, no matter the party, needs to stand against questionable executive orders, and act themselves on these questions.
Who cannot acknowledge a bad decision made, and adjust accordingly.
This election is about administrations. An administration who serves their boss, or accepts their responsibility to the American people.
I’m shying away from people who believe they have all the answers.
The President is faced with decisions everyday, the magnitude of which none of us will ever have to face.
Do we want a person whose impulse is that their decision is the best ever, and the likes of which has never been made.
