👇 Two things can be true at once:
- Andrey Rublev is, by almost all accounts, one of the NICEST players out there, with a good heart, and someone who I am a fan of personally.
- What he did today was over the line, not that he is the only one that acts like that - because he isn’t - but that doesn’t make it right.
You would have fired/suspended if you shouted like that in almost ANY workplace. Umpires, ball kids and officials must be treated with respect at ALL times.
Any sign of verbal or physical abuse shouldn’t be tolerated.
It’s the first time Andrey has been suspended, so hopefully he will learn from it (and I can almost guarantee that he’ll apologise to the line judge, if he hasn’t already).
As Novak Djokovic starts his 408th week as #1, here is how old the present ATP Top 10 players were when Djokovic first became #1:
🇪🇸Alcaraz: 8
🇷🇺Medvedev: 15
🇮🇹Sinner: 9
🇷🇺Rublev: 13
🇩🇪Zverev: 14
🇬🇷Tsitsipas: 12
🇩🇰Rune: 8
🇵🇱Hurkacz: 14
🇦🇺De Minaur: 12
Amazing.
Everyone says Novak Djokovic has no weaknesses.
But that’s not the same as saying he has dangerous strengths.
What are Novak Djokovic’s actual strengths?
His strength is having nothing poor enough to consistently break down, ie his strength is waiting for the opponent to fail.
