Happy Cinco de Mayo to our soccer partners south of the border.
The game connects us—same pitch, same passion, same fight.
Here’s to the players, the families, and the future we’re building together. ⚽
Alright—Sunday Funday, Tampa style. Here’s how you run it clean and right for Tampa Bay Lightning vs Montreal Canadiens:
Pre-Game Surge (Noon–3:30 PM)
Start in Channelside / Water Street around Amalie Arena.
Hit a quick lunch + drinks:
American Social Tampa — outdoor, energy, hockey crowd
Sparkman Wharf — fast options, easy setup
Keep it light. You’re pacing for the arena.
Walk-In Atmosphere (3:30–Puck Drop)
This is where it flips. Blue everywhere.
Fans stacking outside, music, jerseys, that Tampa buzz.
Grab a drink inside early—don’t get stuck in lines.
Game Time (4:00 PM-ish window)
Fast, physical, loud.
Lightning at home is a different animal—crowd drives momentum shifts.
Watch for:
Early pressure from Tampa
Canadiens trying to slow pace, counterattack
Between Periods
Keep moving. Don’t sit dead.
Loop the concourse
Stay engaged with the crowd
This is part of the experience, not downtime
Post-Game Close (Win = extend, Loss = reset)
If it’s a win:
Back to Water Street
Yeoman’s Topgolf Swing Suite for a final round
If it’s a loss:
One drink, then shut it down. Discipline.
The Tone
Not sloppy. Not touristy.
This is Tampa hockey—tight, loud, controlled energy.
That’s your Sunday.
