@RexxDzn@ziwenxu_@thsottiaux This is how claude does it. The company "without compute". I have had the same reset day for months. I work specific days of the week. Resetting on a Friday Night randomly really puts a damper on my reset.
@Gerhardjus97199@zeale99@JuakiGarcia But yet, both OAI and Anthropic continue to shift to being more user-oriented. And the profit share of consumers continue to rise. 40% of Anthropic's business, and I'd bet its higher at OAI.
@Gerhardjus97199@zeale99@JuakiGarcia API Cost =/= Their cost. API is not a consumer number, I could care less how many dollars they attach to my usage, it costs 200 dollars, or they wouldn't be doing it. For a year now everyone has screamed about subsidization this and that, businesses are the money maker
@zeale99@JuakiGarcia I highly, highly doubt it. But lets say it is 75%(which I doubt), we know that the old number is 11 million 20x users. That is well over 2b a month. Leaving that kind of profit on the table would be insane, no matter how much corps are paying.
@Hootootoot@kaylon_eth@JacobPetterle@thsottiaux Wells used to work like that, and now they don't. I have a well. I can use as much water as I would like, as its my well.
This isn't a community free "only take your share" kind of deal. People are paying out the ass to use a service.
@Hootootoot@JacobPetterle@thsottiaux I do not care about what Open AI can afford, neither should you. They are going to IPO for over a trillion dollars. I max all 5 accounts weekly. You think that doesn't entail actual work? I wouldn't be paying 1000 dollars a month for a net loss.
@Hootootoot@JacobPetterle@thsottiaux A lack of compute allocation is their problem, not mine. I pay for the services, and I use them to their full extent. Just because you cannot afford them, means I shouldn't have them?
