3+ Years of Struggle | 1158 Professors Ignored
We #1158AssistantProfessorAndLibrarians continue to struggle on roads — while 95 MLAs and the CM BHAGWANT MANN Ji remain unavailable to teachers, yet deliver scripted sympathy on media platforms.
Before 2022, they were Aam Aadmi Party workers.
Now in power, they’ve become too “VIP” to meet 1158 Assistant Professors & Librarians still fighting for their rightful place.
The Scheduled meetings with: CM @BhagwantMann Sahab-25 July 2025
Higher Edu. Minister @harjotbains-18 Sep, 25 Sep. 2025
Cabinet Minister @AroraAmanSunam-18 Sep & 25 Sep. 2025
Finance Minister @HarpalCheemaMLA-18 Sep & 25 Sep 2025
All promised. All postponed. All cancelled.
📍 In 2023, before the #PunjabVidhanSabhaSession, we urged TWICE for dialogue.
📍 In 2025, the situation remains unchanged.
This is no longer about delays.
It’s about betrayal of trust, dignity & education.
We demand justice for the 1158 meritorious candidates who were selected based on merit and transparency under the 1158 recruitment process.
File Review Petition in the Supreme Court to save 1158 families.

CM @BhagwantMann— PM @narendramodi didn’t give him time —
But CM Sahib! you didn’t give a single minute to meet meritorious #1158AssistantProfessorAndLibrarians, struggling on roads, on the verge of unemployment.
The @PbGovtIndia and Higher Education Minister @harjotbains tweets about review petition on Aug 18, but stands missing when it matters.
PR done. The petition is still not filed, yet to be seen in the Supreme Court for 1158 Professors.
In 2022, AAP won votes on “Education Model”.
In 2025, PUNJAB PROFESSORS sleep on pavements, face jail and endure lathicharge.
Speeches for votes. Silence for #Justice_For_1158.

Students in colleges are watching 1158 Professors struggle & asking—if meritorious professors are being ignored, what future awaits us?
Impact: Hopelessness among youth grows when they see the educated left helpless, struggling not for privilege but for fairness

CM @BhagwantMann, in 2022 @AamAadmiParty promised world-class education to win votes.
In 2022-2025, the same @AAPPunjab party is crushing 1158 Assistant Professors and Librarians—the last shield against privatizing Punjab's govt colleges.
Was the Delhi Model just a vote bank stunt?

“ सुनते हो, अपने शिंदे की सरकारी नौकरी लग गई।
अब काम के लिए उसे विदेश में धक्के नहीं खाने पड़ेंगे।” — AAP’s ad after 6 months in power.
But 1158 Assistant Professors and Librarians—merit-based, selected—are suffering on roads for more than
3 years.
No review petition for 1158 Professors.
Meetings cancelled.
Promises broken.
CM @BhagwantMann Sahab! Is this the education model or a privatization plan in disguise?

Failure of PPSC in Punjab Education System and Results
Here is the record — PPSC never completed these recruitments.
We, 1158 Assistant Professors & Librarians, are losing faith in the system.
The @PbGovtIndia promised a review petition but never filed it.
CM @BhagwantMann Sahib, hasn’t said a word about us, yet boasts of stopping brain drain in ads.
We demand our rightful jobs nothing more.

Punjab Must Unite to Stop Educational Privatization
There are no formal invites in a people’s struggle.
I, Nitish Bhim, wasn’t contacted or called for meetings—but the issue of privatization of education is too important to ignore.
This isn’t just about #1158AssistantProfessorAndLibrarians —it’s about the future of public education in Punjab.
Privatization will shut the doors on thousands of poor students.
Every Punjabi must stand up.
Save Govt Colleges! Save Higher Education!

@BhagwantMann@ArvindKejriwal@harjotbains
We, the #1158AssistantProfessorAndLibrarians, are on the streets—not for favors, but to defend jobs we earned through a transparent, merit-based process.
We believed in @BhagwantMann govt’s promise of BADLAV. Yet today, we’re being punished for no fault of our own.
It's not just about our jobs—it’s about saving public higher education. If qualified educators are cast aside, it's the students, especially the underprivileged, who will pay the price.
This is a call for justice—and systemic change.
