Manchester City should be punished if they broke the rules, but the punishment should make sense🧏
If the offence was financial, punish them financially or with an appropriate sporting penalty. But stripping titles or relegating them should require proof that they cheated to win those games.
If there was no bribery, match-fixing or interference with referees, the trophies were still won on the pitch💯.
I want every single @ManCity fan to know I am here; more than ever. I am, always have been, always will, be behind my club, my owner, my chairman, Ferran, the players, staff, Enzo and you, our unique supporters.
Let me be clear: we will get through this together.
I love you all 🩵
More free pussy, we keep winning. If you stay faithful, you become a good woman for marriage or a lifelong commitment, we still win. The patriarchy is made in such a way that whether you become a whore or not, it's the men who are always benefitting either way.
All this noise about Man City doesn’t make much sense to me.
If they breached financial rules, then yes, punish them accordingly. Rules are rules. But unless they bribed the FA, bribed referees or fixed matches, I don’t see why their titles should automatically be considered illegitimate.
How many genuinely high-profile signings did they even make during the period in question? Meanwhile, Arsenal, Man United, Chelsea and Liverpool can spend huge amounts every transfer window while clubs like Stoke can’t compete financially, yet we still call that fair competition.
Punish City for whatever rules they actually broke, but don’t relegate them or rewrite titles that were won on the pitch.
🚨Enzo Maresca finally addresses the 114 charges verdict after days of silence.
🎙️Reporter: “Enzo, the club has been found guilty of 114 Premier League financial charges. How do you manage a title-chasing squad when half the country wants you deducted 50 points?”
🗣️Maresca: “I manage football. Not paperwork. The players walk into the building every morning and I tell them the same thing: the pitch does not read documents. If they deduct points, we go and take them back. If they strip titles, we go and win new ones. That is the only language I speak.”
🎙️Reporter: “Pep used to say he would stay even if City went to League One. Would you?”
🗣️Maresca: “Pep built the house. My job is not to cry about the foundation. My job is to keep the lights on and the trophies coming. If they send us down, we come back up angry. Simple.”
🎙️Reporter: “Last question. What do you say to City fans who are scared?”
🗣️Maresca: “Fear is for people who never won anything. We have won everything. Now they want to put an asterisk next to it. Fine. We will put another star next to the asterisk. That is how this club answers.”
🚨🇸🇪 Zlatan Ibrahimović on Premier League clubs celebrating Manchester City’s 115 charges:
🗣️ Zlatan: “I don’t blame them for celebrating these charges. (laughs) We are talking about a club that has traumatized almost every other club in this league for years. Pep came to the Premier League hearing everyone say it’s the most difficult league in the world, then he came and farmed the league like it was a Division Two league.
“He exposed them. He dominated them for years. So if they can’t win against Manchester City on the pitch, I understand why they are celebrating what is happening off it.
“But now they talk as if these charges were the reason Manchester City dominated. Like that was the main tactic City came with onto the pitch. Forgetting the beautiful football they played, how they controlled games and how they actually won those trophies.
“You can celebrate the charges, you can talk about them, you can wait for the verdict. But don’t rewrite football history. Manchester City dominated on the pitch. That is why they won all those trophies.”
Interesting times at @ManCity who have almost no debt, have poured hundreds of millions into regenerating their local area and have the best youth system in the country so they must be punished by the PL.
@ManUtd sacked half their employees , racked up a £1 billion + debt , funnelled their profits to the Cayman Islands and get to set the PL spending rules.
Funny old game as Greavsie used to say.
