Before entering Shibuya Sky, I did some wedding gift shopping for my friends and found the cutest modern shrine, the Hachi Jinja! The view of the famous scramble crossing from here is amazing, but the main attraction is yet to come. The top of Shibuya Sky is waiting! ⛩️🥢
Explored Shibuya early in the morning before the massive crowds arrived. 🏙️🚶♂️ Strolled around Miyashita Park and even scored two vinyl records as gifts from the iconic Tower Records! 🎧💿 Then I just waited for my timeslot at Shibuya Sky.
Started my morning in Shibuya at Balaton Cafe! 🇭🇺🇯🇵 It was amazing trying Hungarian chimney cake with a Japanese twist—the matcha and chocolate-coconut flavors were incredible! Paired with a hot yuzu drink in a quiet, early morning setting. The staff even spoke some Hungarian!
Wrapped up the day exploring Tokyo Station's dessert shops—instantly fell for Tokyo Banana and that Shiseido lemon cake! 🍌🍋 Afterward, I stumbled into the authentic salaryman nightlife under the train tracks. Small, smoky izakayas with the best local vibes!
@KamakuraSishu I was in Asakusa Rockza, and significant portipn of the audiance was woman. It was a bit strange for me at first, sort of a culture shock. After the show i totally got it why, it wasnt just a strip show, it was an artistic dance show with naked elements.
@KamakuraSishu I totally got this. This year, in Nara i was in Kuki Cafe, and had all sorts of emotion. I was happy becouse of traveling, but was sad for beeing alone.
Back in Tokyo and strolling around Tokyo Character Street! 🚇 It's amazing how every iconic brand has its own limited 'Station Master' edition plushies here. Tokyo Station truly has such a strong, fun identity! Which one would you take home? I liked the Kimono plushies as well.
One last look at the breathtaking coast from Enoshima before heading back to the station. 🌊 Walking across the bridge, framed by cherry blossoms, was the perfect farewell to this amazing day. Kamakura and Enoshima, you have my heart! 🌸⛩️🚄
Leaving the Sea Candle behind, I walked past the unique Enoshima Daishi temple toward the island's deeper secrets. Encountered the fierce dragon shrine of Ryujin before finally reaching the peaceful Okutsumiya Shrine. The ancient, mystical vibes here are unreal! ⛩️🐲🌸✨
Finally made it to the Samuel Cocking Garden! 🌴 After a lovely stroll through the lush grounds, I treated myself to a legendary French toast at LONCAFE. The view of the Kamakura coastline from their terrace was the perfect sweet bonus! 🥞☕️🌸🌊
Met some of the island's adorable 'residents' on my way up! 🐈🐢 The higher I climbed, the more breathtaking the view became. Seeing the harbor nestled between lush trees and cherry blossoms was worth every single step! 🌸🌊✨
After a relaxing bath, I caught the train straight to Enoshima! 🌊 After a proper leg workout up the stairs, I finally reached the beautiful Hetsumiya Shrine and Hoanden. Love the island's coastal vibe and unique shrines. Simply enchanting! ⛩️🐲✨
Next stop: Inamuragasaki Onsen & Seaside Park! ♨️🌊 Had an amazing bath and sauna session—I was the only foreigner there, a true local gem! Afterward, I enjoyed the fresh sea breeze at the park. The view over Sagami Bay was stunning, with Enoshima visible in the distance. ⛰️✨
Next stop: The Great Buddha of Kamakura at Kotoku-in! ⛩️💚 The massive bronze Daibutsu is stunning, but the peaceful temple gardens stole my heart too. Afterward, jumped onto the Enoden train to the next stop. Kamakura just keeps getting better.🚃🌸✨
Made it to the top of Hasedera! ⛰️🌊 The panoramic view of the coastline with Frieren was breathtaking. Also discovered the beautiful Manji-ike (卍池), a peaceful, hidden pond shaped like a Buddhist swastika, surrounded by lush gardens and sacred statues. Pure magic! ✨🌸
Climbing up to Hasedera’s main hall was incredible. Passed hundreds of tiny Jizo statues on the way, then marveled at the stunning golden Buddha inside! The ocean view from here is beautiful, but the best viewpoint is still to come...⛩️🌊✨
Next stop: Hasedera Temple! ⛩️🌿 Rode the famous, retro Enoden train line to get here. The main gate with its iconic red lantern and the lower levels of the temple grounds are incredibly peaceful, scenic, and beautifully lush. A perfect place to find some zen! 🚃🌸✨
On the way back to Kamakura Station, Frieren and I took a relaxing coffee break at Banyan Tree Coffee House! ☕️🌴 Loved the Hawaiian retro decor and the amazing second-floor window view overlooking the cherry blossom avenue we walked earlier. Simply perfect! 🌸🏄♂️
