Journalism runs almost the exact same race every time. About as close as it comes to a robot. Just not always the best horse in the race.
Today he was.
MY FIRST DINAH survived a foul claim to take today's Saratoga finale, for @nytbreeders maiden fillies 3-and-up.

“He passed the two-turn test today indeed," said Godolphin America’s Michael Banahan. "He got stronger as the race went on and put on a tour de force. It was fantastic."

History made in the Haskell ✨
When BABY VINO (Vino Rosso) surged up the inside to overtake Napoleon Solo and cross the wire first in Saturday’s $1,000,000 GI NYRA Bets Haskell Stakes at Monmouth Park, the colt not only added his own name to the history books but the names of his connections as well.
Lindsay Schultz, Baby Vino’s trainer, became the first female trainer to win the Haskell, also securing a career-first Grade I victory in the process. A wild upset, Baby Vino paid $58 to win which marked the largest payout in the Haskell since Skip Trial paid $73 in 1985. The victory also marked the first Grade I winner for jockey Jorge Vargas, Jr.
Bred by Lisa Parks, the 3-year-old colt is owned by Cosmo Stables and Delta Squad Racing, LLC. Baby Vino has now earned a fees-paid automatic entry into the 2026 GI Breeders’ Cup Classic at Keeneland on Oct. 31.
Journalism is back in the winner’s circle!
Yes, it was a terrible field—but after a brutal start, he circled the field and did exactly what he was supposed to do. He needed that win.
EFFUSIVE looked strong in her racing debut in winning today's Saratoga 7th race, for 2-year-old fillies. Manny Franco rode the beautifully-bred filly for breeder/owner Spendthrift Farm and trainer Brad Cox.
EFFUSIVE is a daughter of Into Mischief and Monomoy Girl. How about that.
STIMULATE won today's 9th race at Saratoga, for 3-and-up maidens, in his second start.
Junior Alvarado rode the beautifully-bred winner for trainer Bill Mott, and breeder-owner Claiborne Farm and Adele Dilschneider.
STIMULATE, 3, is by Tapit and out of Elate. How about that.
CY FAIR brought her record to 7-5-1-1 with a dominant score in today's Coronation Cup (G3) at Saratoga. John Velazquez rode the Not This Time filly for trainer George Weaver.
Winner of last year's Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf Sprint, CY FAIR went off at .53-1 and she paid 3.06.
Ewing, with exercise rider Reynaldo Dumont at Saratoga this week. As a 2-year-old, won a pair of races at Saratoga. The @markecasse trained colt will run on grass in Sunday’s Quick Call at the Spa. Yes, he is named for @nyknicks great @CoachEwing33.
