David Stern — the Hall of Fame ex-NBA Commissioner — has died at 77 years old. He oversaw tremendous growth in his 30 years as commissioner, retiring in 2014. Stern had been hospitalized since a brain hemorrhage on Dec. 17.

The expandability comes w/ MEM going nowhere this year. Moving the years left on Tyus deal to a team that needs a backup 1 lets MEM play Melton off ball w/ starters and give Konchar run as backup 1.

@advancedstats23 Agree on Melton, but Tyus has had a strong December. A lot of that is his extremely unsustainable 3P% this month, but he's been less sloppy with the ball and a a little less awful on defense too. I don't think he's got of ton of trade value, but I definitely think a deal is there
