I bumped into Dr @MmusiMaimane today at the SiGMA Africa Summit and we had a good conversation about education.

Let me say something that l some people find uncomfortable: You do not have to agree with a politician to speak to them, you do not have to share their ideology to influence them and you certainly should not limit your influence only to people who think like you.

Don’t get me wrong, I am not joining politics, but I respect those who choose that path because they carry the responsibility of public decision-making.

There are ears in society that will listen to politicians but may never listen to academics, activists or entrepreneurs.

So if we care about education & the future of our young people, we must be willing to engage widely. Influence should not have boundaries, it should have purpose.
