If you asked most people to name the most American-made vehicle, they'd likely say the Ford F-150. However, the F-150 doesn't even rank in the top 50.

In 2024, the @Tesla Model Y was the #1 most American-made car, with 70% of its parts sourced from the US and Canada. The Cybertruck ranks as the most American-made full-size pickup truck, with 65% of its parts from the US and Canada. In comparison, the gas-powered F-150 contains only 32% US/Canadian parts, while the electric Lightning F-150 has just 24%.

General Motors only makes their first appearance at spot #23 with the Chevy Colorado (51% US/Canada parts content). This notion that Ford or GM are the most American made mostly comes from marketing.

Elon in the Trump Spaces tonight on moving to a sustainable energy economy:
