@PotatoAnon999 @Softykjr @UW_Football Because they’re naive. Revenue sharing was coming and an NIL clearinghouse, they thought things would move to corporate NIL/revenue sharing. Well, you can get $20-$25M from those sources but all the schools above us kept collectives and other sources of revenue.

The Athletic has new data out today and the figures are pretty damning for UW. In the same range as Maryland, Northwestern, and Michigan State. Badly trailing the top. The result of decisions by the AD and misreading the landscape.

@Tequilla_UW @HoodHusky @HuskyFanPodBDTW As reported by Christian Caple, we distributed something like $44 million the last year of our collective. That isn’t a run rate for the future, but our upper campus definitely thought the rules would be more stringent going forward than they are.

@Tequilla_UW @HoodHusky @HuskyFanPodBDTW There’s no question shutting down the collective puts us at a disadvantage. Doesn’t explain all of why this team seems so mediocre, but $10M in fewer resources created an enduring reason you’re losing battles, starting freshmen at key positions, etc..

We run out of NIL at a point rivals have $10M to $15M more and it’s because we shut down our collective
