There would have to be HUGE benefits of RFID before the majority of the population would be willing to accept it #hsop2012

[12au51 @12au51]

That's pretty cool that some of the tags can watch temperature. This could keep ruined drugs from reaching the patient. #hsop2012

No matter how much you automate, I think it only saves time. Mistakes can still happen. #hsop2012

@12au83 Interactive Voice Response

I have had patients that come in and say the doctor sent an e-Rx in the day before. ... yeah we never got it. #hsop2012

[12au51 @12au51]

One positive is that an e-script can save the time of having to make a photo-copy of written prescriptions. #hsop2012

[12au51 @12au51]

I've found that unlike handwriting, a mistype of an e-script is hard to figure out what the MD actually wanted. #hsop2012

[12au51 @12au51]

You might get an alert for taking two different NSAIDs because it might give GI upset. Its not that major so often ignored. #hsop2012

[12au51 @12au51]

@12au71 Yeah, I doubt patients would want that. Sounds like big brother to me.

[12au51 @12au51]

@12au108 Seriously. How long until pharmacists are replaced by a RedBox? #hsop2012

[12au51 @12au51]

CDSS will help prevent some ADEs that might otherwise be missed. #hsop2012

[12au51 @12au51]

Example of potential ADE: Giving TMP-SMX to a patient with a stated sulfa allergy, but for some reason they didn't react. #hsop2012

[12au51 @12au51]

Is there a max number of tweets per day? #hsop2012
