Dragonite has one of the biggest personality shifts across Pokémon media.
In the anime, it’s portrayed as a gentle, kind-hearted giant that helps others and rarely seeks conflict.
The manga takes a very different approach, depicting Dragonite as the fearsome pseudo-legendary it was always meant to be, an incredibly powerful Pokémon capable of overwhelming almost any opponent.
It’s a great example of how the same Pokémon can feel completely different depending on the medium.
Time to peace out of the Palworld X Pokemon Drama, I got sucked into it a few days ago. The high was fun but it was ultimately pointless, the debates were nothing more than a glorified COD lobby.
@EMSFarley86@TranquilityDraw For calling out Pokemon's bad practices? I like Pokemon but that doesn't mean I have to turn a blind eye to the bad things it's doing
Genius. Palworld doesn't even have to lift a finger, Nintendo fans will be the one to always, ALWAYS connect it back to Pokemon and we all know Pokemon is profitable thing to talk about, hence further driving up Palworld's reach, the hate is literally free advertisement
Palworld players are fighting over whether new Legendary Panthalus looks too much like Kyogre from Pokemon
The giant Water-type whale arrived with the game's 1.0 update
@EMSFarley86@TranquilityDraw Yeah you're right it's not like Pokemon at all because Pokemon will sell you a buggy and unpolished product for double the price
With how much hate Palworld gets on Twitter, it's best to step back and realize that Twitter simply isn't real life. Palworld has a 93% on Steam with over half a million players right now.
If they were truly slop or garbage, it wouldn't remain this popular or well loved.
This game was the game I started my YouTube channel on, over time I came to hate it because of how it was handled and the decisions it made, however, this is still heart breaking to see, I loved you Pokemon Unite I really did
There we go. Confirmed, #PokemonUNITE no longer a part of the World Championships. Can’t wait to crown our 5th and final champion.
It’ll be a show to remember.
Love you all.
@_Archesuchus_ Again with the insults, I'm a pokemon fan too but you guys are something else, so quick to hurl insults because someone said something you don't agree with
Ngl Nintendo deserves their downfall for Pokemon, all they have done for years now for the franchise was released buggy, unpolished overpriced crap

🚨 Nintendo has 30 years, $150 billion in franchise revenue and the most recognizable IP in entertainment history
Pocketpair had 4 people, a bucket of USB drives
This weekend Palworld hit 855,000 concurrent players on Steam 👇
CEO Takuro Mizobe left JPMorgan, made money in crypto and founded Pocketpair in 2015 with $10,000
Their first game was never released
The main 3D artist was a high schooler working at the convenience store the team frequented, hired after DMing them gun reload animations he made for fun
No version control, files saved on USB drives, switched to Unreal Engine late with zero experience
Then the internet accused them of copying Pokémon designs
Nintendo filed a patent lawsuit in September 2024
Today Palworld is the second most played game on Steam
Most unlikely success story in gaming this generation
@SportsHurtMazza Your criticism of my word choice is totally fair, but to say what I'm saying is disingenuous is not, as you also agree there's a lot to criticize about the game itself, you may not believe it but I do want Pokémon to get better
@FinalViolaVII Let's hope for the best from one fan to another, I did hear them delaying winds and waves, that's gotta be good news atleast, this was an insightful discussion thank you
@FinalViolaVII Fun fact Pokemon Violet is my 2nd favorite mainline game, I saw all its bad and glitches and loved it nonetheless, I just really wish they would do better because I really do like this game despite my post
@FinalViolaVII Sorry I was using eggs and pots as an example, what i was trying to say was even though I understand that Nintendo was having difficulty because of something they have to deal with internally, they still charged full price for an unpolished product (continue comment)
@_kevolution_@thepancakington No Fr I mentioned in another comment, Palworld getting more attention is because of Nintendo themselves, they literally opened the flood gates for competition due to being aggressive with suing, hence i said deserved downfall
