Thai SEC seeks comments on draft crypto ETF rules
Thailand’s Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is seeking public feedback on draft rules for bitcoin and ethereum exchange-traded funds (ETFs). This week, the regulator opened two consultation rounds on proposed regulations and revised eligibility criteria for foreign custodians.
Bangkok is weighing a new crypto ETF policy. On August 24, the Thai SEC published a notice confirming it is collecting opinions. The watchdog stated that a crypto ETF must be operated by a licensed asset management company.
