Harry Kane has become the first Bayern Munich player to win the Ballon d'Or since Karl-Heinz Rummenigge in 1981.
In total, players representing the German club have now won the award six times.
The 45-year gap between Rummenigge and Kane is the longest between a club having a player win the award, eclipsing the 41 years Real Madrid went from Alfredo Di Stefano in 1959 to Luis Figo in 2000.
Congratulations @HKane ๐๐ Your humility, hard work, and dedication to the team have finally paid off. Proof that talent, combined with determination and team spirit, will always be rewarded in the end. Respect! ๐โค๏ธ@FCBayern
